If you're anything like me studying in your room is a recipe for disaster. With finals right around the corner it's important to find a space that has all the elements to make your studying productive. Wether it's the comfiness of the chairs or the background noise everyone has a different preference.

1. PJs on Willow

You have to arrive early to get yourself a table but the space is totally worth it. Spread your textbooks and computer out and get to work. Being 5 feet away from your next coffee and snack will have you content all day and don't forget the printer in the back!

2) The Business School

With its many rooms you could spend each day studying in a new place. The B school is great for group projects and quiets out at night for when you need to focus. With such close proximity to Sharp and Monroe it’s a great place with freshman going through their first finals.

3) Outside

It might be getting cold in NOLA (if 60 degrees even counts as cold) but with all the studying you’re doing a breathe of fresh air can always help. Break out the books outside of Sharp at the picnic tables or next to Le Gourmet!

4) LBC

Although its crowded the LBC is one of the most comfortable study spots. You’ll sink into the couches while you try to save your GPA from sinking. And when you need a snack you can take a quick study break to Panera for the best mac and cheese.

5) Howie T.

It’s not final season if you don't go on a date with Howie T (and probably try to break up with him too). With six floors of study space it’s always a good place to go and focus. You might even catch a sunset (or sunrise) from the sixth floor!

Good luck and study hard!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
