The Top 10 Worst Feelings As A Girl

As a girl we have to go through so many irritating things every day of our lives. Even though they may seem like insignificant tribulations to others, to us they can be some of the most annoying things EVER. Here are just a few of the irritating factors that go into us girls lives.

1. Hurting your pet.

Whenever I accidentally slam my dogs tail in the door or pinch his neck with his collar, it is automatically the worst day ever. Hearing him squeal and hide is the most torturous thing that you can endure as a fur parent. It's like you have betrayed the only thing that loves you unconditionally. I always beat myself up all day and fatten him up with treats. He probably secretly hopes it happens every day.

2. Not being able to find you favorite leggings in the abyss of your non-favorite leggings.

How can something be so similar but so very different..?

3. Running out of milk.

This always happens to occur at the worst possible time, the once in a blue moon time you feel like having cereal. My craving always comes late at night. I sneak in the kitchen, pour myself some Reese's Puffs and search the fridge for some non-existent milk. Ahhh the disappointment..

4. Being unprepared for class.

Whether it's forgetting a pencil on test day or just forgetting your brain, we've all been there. My poor poor roommate. She is a broadcast major and an athlete which do not always mix well considering she and I basically live in sweats. Here's the scoop: she showed up to class one day throwing out compliments left and right to her well dressed classmates when the girl beside her whispered.."we were supposed to dress up today"..OOPS. Someone forgot to check her email and had to do an on camera interview in sweatpants, hair tie, chillin' with no makeup on attire. At least she still rocked it! You live and you learn.

5. Waving to someone who was waving to someone else behind you.

Yeah..yikes. Just play it cool, you were just scratching your head.

6. Having your privacy invaded.

I just got a brand new journal to write my feelings and whatnot in....ya know personal stuff. The third day I started writing in it, I walked in on my boyfriend scanning over it! *cringe worthy* I was so embarrassed. Even though I have nothing to hide, the little girl in me felt violated. It's like when your parents scroll through your camera roll and you pray you deleted all of your "girls night out" pictures. It's just not OK.

7. Chipping your nail polish the very same day you did them.

Why do us girls insist on paying for expensive nail polish when it is going to ultimately fail us?

8. Wasting hours on social media when you should be studying.

I would way rather be checking the non existent notifications that I am receiving than be typing a paper due the next day. It's not fair to have homework when the Internet exists, time to boycott.

9. Finishing a Netflix series.

Ugh, one of the worst things us binge watchers can go through. Luckily there is always another show waiting for us with open arms. It may not be as good as the last but it will eventually draw you in until there's no looking back.

10. Cutting yourself while shaving.

Someone call 911 because I am most likely bleeding out.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
