People tend to think that sex and intimacy share the same meaning, but intimacy is its own thing completely.

The dictionary.com definition of intimacy is “a close, familiar, and usually affectionate or loving personal relationship with another person or group.” Intimacy is about knowing what the person you care about wants and needs and giving it to them.

Here is a list of ways to give your girl the kind of intimacy she wants, while keeping it in your pants:

1. Buy her a bouquet of her favorite flowers “just because.”

It doesn’t have to be a holiday, or a celebration. Stop buy a local florist on your way home and make her feel special.

2. Call her randomly throughout the day when you have a break.

Let her know you’re thinking of her and you just wanted to hear her voice.

3. Cute texts are always appreciated.

Throw in some kissy face emoji’s and she will be wishing she could be kissing you back in person.

4. Post pics or tweeting to your girl showing her how much you love her and meanwhile reminding the social media world that’s she’s all yours!

It kills two birds with one stone and will make her day!

5. Make her dinner!

You know her favorite dishes and how she likes them made; after she has had a long day, make her favorite meal, pour her a glass of wine and let her enjoy! (For bonus points do the dishes too).

6. Say, “I love you” or “You’re beautiful” at random times through out the day.

It will immediately put a smile on any girl's face and be sure to make her heart skip a beat.

7. PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF LOVE.

Holding hands in public or a soft kiss on the forehead when you’re in a crowded place will mean a lot. Especially in uncomfortable or stressful situations.

8. Always be nice to her family, no matter how annoying they are.

If you want to keep her happy you’re going to want her family on your side. If they like you, she will love you!

9. Plan a surprise date or trip from start to finish.

Tell her what to pack or the dress code of the evening but leave the rest to her imagination! Mystery is romantic and she will be happy to not have to do the planning for once. She will love it no matter what you choose to do, because you put in the effort for her to enjoy herself.

10. Send her the funny memes that make you think of her.

Or, that you think will make her laugh.

11. Give her an "all about her" day!

Give her a back massage, make her breakfast, go to all her favorite stores and don't complain. Make the day all about your favorite girl.
