Finals week--the week that every college student dreads. Whether you've just finished your finals, or are currently in the midst of the chaos, you know the true horror that is final exams. An inevitable side-effect of being a college student is having to show a professor everything that you have learned in the past semester in a short three hour time span. For many professors, this one exam could determine your final grade. You've worked hard all semester, and it all comes down to this. I'd love to offer some awe-inspiring, motivation-inducing advice to get you through this troubling time, but the truth is that I am just as lost, confused, and tired as you. Instead, I thought I would try to summarize finals in a way that every student can relate to.

1. Before you begin studying, you're full of motivation and hope.

2. You know that the library will be your home for the upcoming weeks, but you're okay with that.

3. Until you realize you have no idea what you're doing.

4. You then realize that studying sucks.

5. And you quickly succumb to...

6. Even when you're not trying to procrastinate, you procrastinate by studying for another test.

7. You realize that you procrastinated too much and now you have to make some important decisions.

8. So you try to multitask.

9. When that doesn't work, you decide to push through it and make caffeine your best friend.

10. Soon you realize that no sleep and extreme stress do not make a good combination.

11. When someone asks you if you're fine, you decide to be honest.

12. You hate when people try to relate to your problems.

13. As exams come closer, you try not to show your fear.

14. But the people around you decide this is the time to blast their music and scream for no apparent reason and you just can't deal with it anymore.

15. You finally wake up on the first day of exam week.

16. And then go to bed everyday during exam week dreading waking up the next day.

17. Before going into your exams, you decide to adopt the correct attitude.

18. Your professor decides to wish you luck on your exam.

19. You finally open the exam and realize that you remember nothing.

20. And that there are questions on the test you haven't studied for.

21. But eventually (in the last five minutes) you remember everything you studied.

22. You finally make it out of the exam room, mostly alive, and you don't want to talk about it.

To those who are already enjoying summer break, congratulations for making it through exam week in one piece! To those who still have exams to take...

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
