Sadie. My name shows creativity, passion, and wonder. In English, the meaning of Sadie is "princess". In Spanish, the meaning of my name is "mercy". My name also describes someone who is quiet, cooperative, and works well with others. My name is the reason I wake up every weekend to my dad singing the famous “Sexy Sadie”, a memorable 1968 song by the Beatles that keeps the house full of joy. My name represents my character and my drive. I would never change that.

My mother told me that my name originated from Sarah. It is a spin-off of the name Sarah, but my parents wanted something a little more unique than Sarah. They are sticking with Sadie. Both two syllables. Both beautiful.

There is a small story behind my name that is present in the Bible. My grandfather reads the Bible every day, and he suggested the name to my parents. The story that comes from the Bible involves of Abraham and Isaac. Sarah was the wife of Abraham. My grandfather loved the name Sarah, but to this day I’m glad they agreed with Sadie.

I have several theories about why my parents chose my name. My favorite theory is that they decided to choose my name because it resembles the word happy. I think that the word happy and my name fit well together. I am happy and continue to have a happy personality. I have done research on my name, and it seems to fit just right with my personality and character. I believe this is the name I was given for a reason, and I love it.

I can’t really discuss a bad experience with my name. A lot of kids will say they’ve been bullied or mistreated because of their name. However, I am proud to say that this experience has never happened with me. Instead, I have encountered multiple misspellings of my name. I have always had people spell my name “Saddie”; they would add an extra D to my name, making the mistake without noticing. It never bothered me until it happened repeatedly and I started to explain it to some people. I know that everyone makes mistakes, but there’s no harm in a little correction here and there.

I like my name. I like how it represents my character. I have never experienced something so terrible where I felt I wanted to change my name. Unfortunately, I know a couple of friends who have felt this way, but I’m lucky it’s never been me. I know my name reflects who I am today as a person, and I couldn’t be happier about that.

I am very grateful to have been given such a unique name that isn’t so popular these days anymore. A funny fact that helps me love my name even more is when people tell me that Sadie is the name of their dogs. I’m not sure why, but it seems where I live at least, a ton of people name their dog Sadie. I think it is a cute, and dainty name for a dog. If I had a dog, I would name him or her that just for the fun of it.

I feel like my name helps me be treated with respect. I work at a restaurant back home, and I’ve met the sweetest people who have told me that the name Sadie couldn’t describe a more beautiful woman. The things that I see from people, and what they think of me in relation to my name is something that will always warm my heart. I can’t think of any other name for me. This one suits me perfectly.

I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in my name, and I love that it just has two small syllables to it. This helps it to bounce off the tongue of anyone who says it, and creates an instant smile for someone who is listening. It is quite unique from what I understand. I know that not many people intend to name their kids Sadie these days. It has actually decreased since the earlier years. Sarah however, is quite popular for female names, so I’m just glad I am different, and still represent the story of Sarah.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
