Whether or not you enjoy the thrill of a roller coaster, the process involves many emotions. Personally, I LOVE roller coasters. The thrill, the adrenaline, losing my voice from screaming too loud, and, of course, seeing the embarrassing pictures at the end. It doesn’t matter if you are a coaster pro or a rookie, you will still have an emotional experience.
1. Entering [insert amusement/theme park] here.
As you enter through the gates like a herd of cattle, you can hardly contain your excitement.
2. Choosing the perfect coaster to ride first.
Some people, especially those who do not love roller coasters, may want to start off small and end big. For me, I'm the one who always suggests Powder Keg first.
3. Waiting in line of your chosen ride.
Entering the line is so exciting because, even though you are at the end, you are one step closer to having the thrill of your life (or day).
4. Still waiting in line after 45 minutes.
The line didn't look that long, but there you are, 45 minutes later.
5. When you are the next in line.
You would think that after waiting anxiously for nearly an hour you would be ready to go, but once you realize that it is about to be your turn you are not ready. In fact, you turn to your friends and tell them you just can't do it. But, of course, you get on the ride.
6. Sitting in your seat waiting for the conductor to start the ride.
Congratulations, you made it! The anticipation is killing you. You can see the conductor standing there, watching the looks on all of the passengers faces, and all you wish for is that he starts the ride soon!
7. Traveling, slowly, up the incline.
I understand that it is a steep incline, but is it necessary to move at .1 miles per hour?
8. At the top of the incline.
At this point all you want more than anything is to get off of this ride! Unfortunately that is not possible. Just let the butterflies fill your stomach, close your eyes, and it will all be over before you know it.
9. Throughout the duration of the ride.
Between every turn, loop or drop you always feel a little light headed. But that doesn't stop you from screaming at the top of your lungs.
10. Pulling in to stop.
You can not believe that there were so many loops and corkscrews and somehow you managed to survive all of it!
11. Looking at your embarrassing picture.
You see the camera, you smile, but somehow your faces looks like this...
12. Getting back in line.
Why would anyone want to go through this emotional process multiple times? Oh yeah, because roller coasters are a super fun activity for those of us who are adrenaline junkies.
