The 2016 NBA Finals include the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Golden State Warriors consists of some amazing players such as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. With their outstanding ability to throw up three pointers at anytime and drive to the hoop they should have no problem winning the NBA title for the second year in a row. The Cleveland Cavaliers have Lebron James, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving who are all great players. Lebron is one of the best players in the league and with help from his team he might be able to finish the season strong. Last year the Golden State Warriors won the series 4-2 and it was their first title since 1975. This year in 2016 the Golden State Warriors already have one game in the series under their belt and hope to add another win this Sunday June 5th.
In my opinion I believe that the Golden State Warriors will be able to win the NBA Finals once again. I would have to say I am a bandwagon fan of the Golden State Warriors and that is because of a few reasons. Where I'm from in Michigan most people would say that the Detroit Pistons are not that great but there still are some very loyal fans. Some people choose different teams to follow and watch throughout the season so that is exactly what I did. I didn't watch many games but I was able to watch Kobe's last NBA game where he scored an incredible 60 points and watched Stephen Curry beat his own record for most three pointers in one season. Last year he had 286 three pointers and this year he made an astounding 402. In the meantime the pistons made the playoffs but lost in the first round against the Cleveland Cavaliers. They are improving throughout the years but still can't put together a great, winning team like they had in 2004. Hopefully next year the Pistons will be able to make it far in the playoffs but time to get back on topic.
My favorite players on the Golden State Warriors are Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson because they are the splash brothers. They both are always dropping three pointers and they can heat up pretty easily. Another great player that I enjoy watching is Draymond Green because he is a fellow MSU Spartan just like me. He went to Michigan State from 2008 to 2012 and is now the power forward for the Golden State Warriors. The whole team is determined to win and I believe that they can too. I know that the Cleveland Cavaliers will put up a good show but the Golden State Warriors cannot be stopped.
