It is selfish to not vaccinate your children. It not only puts your child at risk, but other children as well. Here are the facts:
1. Some children and older adults physically cannot get vaccinated, so by not vaccinating your child you put them at great risk.
A news story in Australia reported about a 3-year-old, Lachlan, who can not get vaccinated due to a liver transplant that he received. To anyone who is against vaccines and clearly not knowledgeable about any actual science, if this boy were to get vaccines it would harm him greatly. Because his immune system has been suppressed due to the transplant, his body can't perform the adaptive immune response making the vaccination useless. A smile virus like the flu could potentially kill this child, making diseases like the measles almost guaranteed fatal. Other cases that would prevent a child from being vaccinated include: leukemia, cancers, severe asthma, and heart problems.
2. It is absolutely ignorant to let the media plant seeds of doubt in your mind against science.
This goes along with the anti-GMO fad, the "gluten-free-everything-just-because" fad, and so much more. To the person out there who says "Well, I don't want foreign substances in my body"—you are a hypocrite. That means no tattoos, no antibiotics, no birth control, no food, no sex, virtually nothing. If you genuinely want absolutely no foreign substances in your body you better sit your butt down and wait to die because that is what your life will consist of... nothingness.
3. Crack open a textbook.
Better yet, to make things especially easy for those of you too lazy to learn the facts, here are three articles about what your child could suffer from if you choose to leave them unprotected.

4. It is your right to protect your child.
If you are some person who thinks that they have to rebel against the government because they don't have the right to force you to vaccinate your child, get over yourself. Protect your child, and the people around them.
Please, the next time you think you are smarter than the doctors across the world, check yourself. Honestly, I cannot fathom being so conceited and wrapped up in false information that I would be willing to put my child and other members of society at risk for fatal infections. If you are so concerned with the rumors you have heard about your child getting Autism after vaccinations, you shouldn't be a parent. It is a disgrace to parents out there whose children were born with actual mental disabilities that they have to overcome.
Get your child vaccinated properly.
