For the Next Time You're On The Road Again

Road Trip Essentials

Who doesn't love a good road trip? Actually many people. They can be the best or the worst. I personally have quite a love/hate relationship with them. In order to make sure you have the most bearable and even enjoyable road trip possible, here's a list of essentials:

1. Your posse.

No one wants to drive alone for hours. That's boring. So before heading out on your next adventure, make sure your friends will come along. Car pooling is the way to go!

2. Caffeine.

If you're the driver, you obviously need to stay awake. The interstate is not the place to catch some Zs. On the other hand, if you're a passenger, still drink caffeine, so you can have energy to be the most fun passenger ever. That's kind of your responsibility for the trip.

3. GPS.

Getting lost might make a good story, but it'll make for worse attitudes. Getting lost is not the key to success.

4. Snacks.

You're going to get hungry. It's a given. There's something about a road trip that seems to just trigger your stomach's growl. There's probably a scientific reason for this.

5. Aux cord.

This might actually be the most necessary item on the list. No road trip is complete without at least a few fire playlists. Probably every genre will be explored, but throwbacks become exponentially more exciting in road trips. Everyone will probably argue over who gets control, but there's always that one person who has no business whatsoever with such power. They might get one chance, but it will quickly be confiscated from them.

6. Gas.

Fuel up before your journey. Your passengers will thank you.

7. Phone charger.

Almost as important as fuel for your vehicle is fuel for everyone's cellular devices. Uncharged phones make for grumpy passengers.

8. More luggage than the car can hold.

Is it really a trip if everyone in the vehicle doesn't completely overpack? This is especially true if girls are in the vehicle. Overpacking isn't an occasional slip up — it's a way of life.

With all these, you're ready for the ultimate road trip! Pack your bags, grab your friends and go!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
