Ahhh, the Academy Awards. The day where Hollywood's biggest names in movies walk the red carpet in hopes of snagging an Oscar and going down as one of the best people in film for the year.

However, this year may just be particularly important in the history of the Academy Awards, for one actor in particular. Mostly anyone who has any sort of knowledge of cinema knows exactly who Leonardo DiCaprio is. While Leo has won a total of 44 awards during his time as an actor, the one he cannot seem to get his hands on is an Oscar.

The unfortunate problem of Leo not having an Academy Award has been a long running joke on the Internet for quite some time. A person cannot go on Tumblr around awards season in Hollywood without seeing a meme poking fun at his bad luck. However, for those who look forward to those memes they may have something else coming this year. After winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor for "The Revenant," many people are now beginning to speculate if "The Revenant" will finally be his ticket to Oscar gold.

Prior to seeing "The Revenant," I was not expecting the movie to be anything good. After all, from what I heard, it was extremely long and the best part of the movie was when his character got mauled by the bear. On Valentine's Day, I finally decided to give it a try with my boyfriend. Boy, was I really glad that I did.

Without giving away any spoilers, I can without a doubt say that "The Revenant" is one of the best films of the 21st Century. Not only does DiCaprio have to act like he has actually been mauled by a bear when it was all CGI, he also has almost no lines in the movie, yet conveys so much emotion. By the end of the movie, I could not separate the identity of DiCaprio from that of his character, Hugh Glass. Only the most talented actors can master portraying a character's true story without saying many lines.

So whether or not you watch the Oscars for the fashion aspect or to admire Hollywood's biggest movies of the year, make sure to root for everyone's favorite underdog. Hopefully, instead of walking away empty handed this year with a disappointed frown on his face, he will walk away triumphant. Congrats Leo! Glad that you didn't actually sink in the Titanic.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
