The Pros and Cons of Taking Summer Classes

There comes a time in a young person’s life where they have to take a summer class. Whether its just a one credit one to push you to graduation, or it’s a full load, so that you don’t fall behind come fall, a summer class can have its good times as well as it’s bad times. Here are some of the pros and cons concerning taking summer classes.

Pro: You can show up to class in real deal pajamas because there are not half as many people on campus to judge you.

Con: Since there are less people on campus, there are less people to hang out with or ask help from when the class actually starts to get hard.

Pro: Somehow you find a way to go out almost every day and still earn an “A.”

Con: You go to class every day with a killer headache and planning out routes to run to the bathroom in case throw up ensues.

Pro: You learn the material easier because you are forced to see it almost every single day for six weeks.

Con: You are forced to go to class every single day in the week, when you are so used to the Tuesday and Thursdays only during the fall and spring semesters.

Pro: There are no real distractions that happen during the summer besides keeping up a social presence.

Con: Once fall rolls around, everything feels overwhelming because now you transition from chilling to being in clubs, taking a full load, and everything else that the normal school year holds.

So, summer term really is not that bad at all. Actually some will say that it helps your GPA, and takes away the distractions and nonsense that fall and spring have. But, it can also prove to have some hardships, but its nothing that us college students can’t handle.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
