From being born in Frankfurt, West Germany to his struggles of being raised by a single mother, to now selling out arenas all around the world, Jermaine Cole has reached a new level of his career that puts his name up among the greatest of all time. His ability to tell stories with his lyrics that people can connect with is one of the many reasons J.Cole has become a superstar. Although the story of a poor kid making it big in the rap game may sound like something we are use to hearing about, J. Cole separates himself from the stereotypical everyday rapper.

A core theme in J.Cole's newest album "2014 Forest Hills Drive" is his journey from chasing the dream of money and power in New York City, to realizing what is really important in his life which is his family and helping those in need. In October 2011, J. Cole started The Dreamville Foundation in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. This foundation's main goal was to support the youth of Fayetteville and find ways to maximize their potential. At the "Back to School Supply Giveaway" J.Cole and his foundation supplied over 500 kids with a book bag full of materials to start their school year off right.

J. Cole's most recent charitable donation cost him $130,000 to re-buy his childhood home which he then remodeled to provide a rent-free home for single mothers. The home two years prior had been repossessed from his mother while Cole was away in New York City. The guilt he felt during this time is the motivation for several songs on "2014 Forest Hills Drive."Even though he may not be the only charitable rapper to make it, J.Cole has made it his mission to preach being charitable and giving back to your community. He has used his rocky past and the lessons he learned in his life to create award winning music and change the lives of many kids and others in Fayetteville and around the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
