Hello lovely people of the Internet! It's been a while since I've written, but I'm back with some articles that are even weirder than the ones I've been writing! (Yay.....!) Fortunately for you, this week's article isn't actually that weird!

Since school just recently started back up, I thought that I would write about some of the things that will happen if your roommate is also your best friend. Both of the roommates I've had are my best friends, so this is first-hand information! So, let's get this show on the road!

1. You will exchange lots of personal information.

I honestly don't think anyone other than my mother and God has known half of the things my roommate knows about me. That wall you put up when you get to know someone just kind of goes away when you live with them. You also get a lot more comfortable with them. Side effects of this include: loss of filter and ugly crying at 1 am.

2. Everything becomes community property.

At my college, we have to fill out "Roommate Agreement Forms". My roommate and I wrote down that we can share just about everything...mostly because we already do. We don't even ask anymore.

3. There a dramatic shift in the atmosphere after 11pm.

After 11pm, you start to get over-tired. You want to make impulsive decisions, but in reality, you go to Wendy's for chicken nuggets. Things get hype for no reason whatsoever. This results in a loss of filter (once again), laughing at extremely dumb things, and scream-singing Hollaback Girl in the car. I'm telling you, after 11pm it's an entirely different world.

4. Laying in each other's beds becomes a thing.

Currently, Nicole and I take daily naps in her bed at approximately 7:30 pm.

5. You become each other's source of approval/shoulder to cry on.

Whether it comes to picking out an outfit in the morning or sending a risky text, your roommate will have your back. And when things don't go right, you always have them to come back to and rant/cry/sob to.

6. You do just about everything together.

You'll spend lots of out-of-the-room time together, and not because you have to, but because you want to. Because you guys are actual friends that want to be in each other's presence. More than just two people who live in the same room.

I'm so glad that I got to experience this, not once, but twice! I absolutely loved every minute of having both Gina and now Nicole as my roommate. Things couldn't be better!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
