Having siblings is truly a blessing in disguise. On one hand, they know exactly what to do to tick you off, but on the other, they love you unconditionally. I'm the middle child of three girls and I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel like being a middle child, you always get a bad rap. Everyone thinks that you're going to be this monster of a child that throws tantrums (I admit, I have done that before, but who hasn't?), is evil and conniving and ultimately feels like the loner of the family because they are overshadowed by the older sibling and the baby of the family. In my case, I love being the middle child! I grew up with two amazing goddesses and I wouldn't have it any other way. Here are five reasons why I'm grateful for my sisters and why I love being the middle child.
1. You never have to figure anything out on your own.
Since you have an older sister, she's always the first to do everything. The first to go to high school, the first to go to prom, to deal with college applications, etc. Your older sister forges the path for you so that it's not so scary when it's your turn. It's amazing because you never truly have to figure anything out on your own because all you have to do is ask your older sister.
2. You always have someone to turn to.
No matter what, you know that both of your sisters will be by your side. It doesn't matter what happened or what you did, there's nothing that you could ever do to make your sisters turn their back on you. In any situation, you can turn to either your older sister or your younger sister, and in some cases, you need both of them.
3. Fights never last forever.
Siblings, sisters especially, know first hand what it's like to fight. Nothing is off limits and everything is out in the open. As soon as the fight begins, it's over in a matter of seconds purely because you have two sisters and one of them usually is the referee. At the end of the day, they're the only people that can insult you and give you a hug at the same time.
4. Your sisters know you better than you know yourself.

No one in the world knows me better than my sisters. My sisters know first hand how dramatic I can be. I know it too. Sometimes it's hard not to let the little things get to me and ruin my day. They're the only people that can see straight through me and get down to what's really bothering me. Sometimes, they're the only people that care.
4. You always have at least two people that think you're funny.
Whenever I tell a joke to my sisters, they always laugh. They just understand me. They understand how my brain works and they were the ones that helped me attain my dazzling sense of humor. If I tell the same joke to someone else, they're not going to get it. And I'm okay with that because I have all of the support I need.
5. You'll protect your sisters at any cost.
You know that whatever situation pops off, your sisters will be there by your side and you will do the same for them. As the middle child, you have the innate abilitiy of being an older and a younger sister at the same time. Because of this, you're not only protective of your baby sister but you're protective of your older sister as well. In your eyes, if anyone ever makes your sisters upset, there will be hell to pay.
5. The bonds of sisterhood can never be broken.
No matter how hard anyone tries, it's impossible to break the bonds between sisters. No man, woman or child could ever come between us. We've been through and know too much about each other to throw that away.
At the end of the day, I love my sisters with all of my heart. I would do anything and everything for them. I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world nor would I trade the order that we were born.
