You have probably said it a time or two yourself. The infamous line "I don't think that I will have time for that". Those words get under my skin like no other because there is always time. If it is something that you are passionate about you can make time. You can make your schedule work to do whatever it is you want to do, you just have to be determined and willing to work for it.

It all lies in the way you time manage and plan ahead. It's kinda like when you were a kid, you would get home, do your homework, and then you could outside and play. Life works the same way when you grow up as well, though it is on a larger scale. If you want to go out one night, you need to make sure that you get all of your homework/studying done, as well as any chores that need to be completed. You set a plan out to make sure that you could do something that you wanted to do.

So, stop saying that you cannot do something. If it is something you truly wish to do, you can do it. Break out that planner or your calendar on your phone and figure it out. Life is all about choices and those choices include planning. If you know that you want to do something in the future, start planning now.

Be your own self-advocate and go get'em! Stop letting the world pass you by and get your foot in the door. Start planning now and just be responsible. Life isn't going to slow down for anyone because that is just the way it works. It is not one of those things where you can just dip your toe in the water to see if it is fine. You need to dive straight in and start swimming. You may not have anyone there to hold your hand but you will feel that much more accomplished if you do it one your own. Those who are successful are go-getters, they don't take no for answer.

So don't just do something just to do it. Be passionate about it and really want to get involved. Stop saying that you don't have time for it because there is always a way. Put those plans into action and stop daydreaming about them.

The world is out there waiting for you, so why are you?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
