Thanksgiving is a time we get to take a quick break from school, classes, and homework. November is one of the hardest months of the year for college students, with finals just around the corner, and it's nice to be home for a few days. There is so much to look forward to about this holiday spent with family and "Friends," including:
The parade
Watch with your family while you have a light breakfast, so you don't spoil your appetite.
Family fun
Every family has their own special traditions.
Football
A great, fun way to kill time while you're waiting for dinner to be ready.
Trying new food/recipes
Be careful to actually follow the directions!
Seeing your "friends" from high school
Catch up on what you've all been up to over the past few months at college or avoid eye contact with those people you don't want to see.
Everyone getting to contribute/having their time to shine
It's more fun and productive when cooking and set-up tasks are delegated, so everyone can take some credit for a job well done.
The food
Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, pumpkins and more. Everyone has their own preferences and favorites.
But someone will always eat too much
Don't worry if you're too full, you can always eat more tomorrow.
Christmas music
The second that Thanksgiving is over, "Jingle Bells" will be on the radio and will not stop until New Year's Eve.
Thanksgiving leftovers
Be careful to make sure no one eats yours!
Spending time with loved ones
This may be the only time you see certain people all year, so make the most of it.
And most importantly....
