1. "The Thief And The Cobbler"
Most people probably don't even know this film exists. It was edited and restructured into "The Princess and the Cobbler" as well as "Arabian Knight," but I think there's a certain charm with the original. Besides the fact that the thief is hilarious, the animation and illusions are amazing, and it took more than 30 years to make this film.2. "Enchanted"
This is perhaps one of the best Disney princess movies ever made. For one, look at the cast: Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams, Timothy Spall, James Marsden, Susan Sarandan and Idina Menzel were all in this movie ("Frozen" wasn't her first Disney guys!). Besides the great cast and hilarious writing with a fairy tale come to real life, we get to see a different twist on Sleeping Beauty (and James Marsden in a prince outfit).3. "Liberal Arts"
This movie also had a great cast, featuring actors such as Josh Radnor, Zac Efron and Elizabeth Olsen. It's a great, kind of somber story about growing up and learning to be an adult. The best part is, it doesn't end how you think it will.4. "The Spectacular Now"
If the title doesn't say it all, this movie's all about living in the now, and being who you want to be regardless of what you think you should be or what people say. It's kind of a "Beauty and the Beast" twist in my opinion, but definitely not generic.5. "Two Night Stand"
One of my favorite rom-coms. It's a great story about fate and destiny and going to get the girl. It brings up some really great points about relationships, and has the bright side of good comedic relief.6. "Shrek The Third"
I still can't get my head around the fact that people don't think this movie is good. Yes, the original was better, it usually is. But "Shrek the Third" is FUNNY. It has the classic "Shrek gives life lessons" parts in it, and besides that, it's really a great and hilarious sequel regardless of what critics say.7. "Point Break"
This movie got some pretty harsh reviews. I'd have to disagree though. The fact that real extreme athletes were used for filming just makes the whole movie so much more realistic and wonderful. The premise of extreme sports, and the fact that we get to see them in sort-of-first-person view is so thrilling and makes the movie great. It doesn't hurt that there's some really nice pieces of life advice in there either.
8. "Naomi And Ely's No Kiss List"
This movie may be more underground, considering I heard of it through a YouTube video. However I'm glad I did, as it has become one of my favorite movies of all time. It just has that classic indie feel with a widely unknown but still really talented cast. It has a great plot, and the characters are so lovable.
9. "Whiplash"
"Whiplash" is the most intense movie I have ever seen. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. It won a few Oscars for its success and artistry, and it certainly deserved it. The acting performances from J.K. Simmons and Miles Teller were untouchable, and possibly the best they've ever given. They got watchers to get emotionally invested in the film, and we don't regret it.10. "What If"
"What If" is my favorite movie of all time. Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan give the perfect performances of social awkwardness and weird, dry humor. Mackenzie Davis, Megan Park and Adam Driver likewise give remarkable performances as the sidekick best friends, and add to the humor of the movie. Besides the great acting and cast, the movie has a great score including the Rolling Stones. "What If" is the perfect story of friends or lovers, and is, in my opinion, one of the most under-appreciated movies of our time. And let's admit it, we all wanted Fool's Gold afterward.
