Oh, Valentine's Day. It's the day when boys get girls flower and chocolates, and the day before those chocolates go on sale. People either love this time of the year, or they hate it. If you happen to love it and have that special someone in your life, what better gift to give them than a mix tape? Maybe not one in the traditional sense because, well, it's 2017 and no one has a tape player anymore. But that doesn't mean you can't make them a sweet playlist to really set the mood. I've even made it easy for you and picked out five of the best modern love songs to get you started. And If you're one of those people that hates Valentine's, you can still listen to these awesome songs while eating chocolates you got yourself because you're independent and don't need anyone else to buy you chocolates.

1. American Money // BORNS

This song tells a classic tale of an exciting affair between two young lovers running off to paradise together. This electro-alternative soundtrack is accompanied by BORNS' chilling voice that'll get you and your S.O. psyched for your date.
