From the moment I first met you, we had a special bond. You encouraged me to be myself and embraced my creativity and craziness. Random dance parties and spontaneous ice cream dates weren't unusual for us. From car rides to get grape sodas and eating all the same foods, you were my partner in crime and I'll never forget you.

Breaking all the rules was something we did best, you were my better half. I loved our afternoon naps and holding hands at night. You scared away all of the monsters whenever we turned out the lights. I stole all of your shirts and thought one day I would marry you (until grandma told me I couldn't marry my grandpa). You were the greatest man I've ever known.

You encouraged me to keep on pushing through. When one door was closed I could find another to walk through. You set the perfect example of unconditional true love, and made me realize my worth. You treasured me and I'll always treasure you. You listened to all of my problems, and never forgot to say "I love you."

God took you sooner than we expected, but I'll never forget the memories we had, and all the lessons I learned from you. I know you're looking down from heaven at us all, and I know you've never left my side.
