5 Joys of Living In Northwest Arkansas

When I was choosing a college, the University of Arkansas wasn't one of my top four choices. In fact, it wasn't on my list at all until my friend started talking about it and I decided to look it up. It was like once I had discovered it, I knew that the University of Arkansas was where I belonged. When I moved up to Fayetteville, I had no idea that i had just moved to one of the best areas in the state.

1. Fayetteville: Town Square

The Fayetteville Town Square could rival any small town square in the country. With the beautiful buildings that lines the streets, the cute boutiques that sell the perfect game day dresses, or the quaint coffee shops to check out with your best friends, the town square is a great hangout place. Also every weekend the farmers market sets up shop in the square and the fresh produce is to die for. And of course, the town square lights up with tons of christmas lights every holiday season, a perfect setting for a first date!

2. Dickson Street: Fayetteville, Arkansas

Dickson Street is located in the heart of Fayetteville. It's THE hotspot for college students. Whether you're looking for a new place to eat, live local music, or something to do on the weekend, Dickson Street has it all. Dickson is the place for all forms of entertainment. Every weekend there's always some live music playing at George's, and there's always a play or show happening at the Arts Center. Dickson Street is the perfect place for people of all ages.

Not only is Eureka Springs a cute town, the drive is beautiful up there too. The mountain views and winding country roads keep the drive interesting and never boring. Eureka Springs is a great getaway for the weekend, you'll always find something fun to do, whether it be with your girl friends, family, or significant other.

5. Crystal Bridges- Rogers, Arkansas

Crystal Bridges is a museum of American Art in Rogers, Arkansas. Founded by Walmart, Crystal Bridges is home to all forms of art. Crystal Bridges is a great place for weddings, or parties. The museum also has many opportunities for volunteering! Since the museum is sponsored by Walmart there is no cost for the permanent collection at the museum, which is able to be viewed year round!

Every day I am more and more grateful for the choice I made to move here to Northwest Arkansas. I can't wait to find more places to explore in the area!

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
