People pleaser: an obsequious, subservient person. In easier terms, a people pleaser is someone who does certain things just to keep everyone happy. I have always been a people pleaser, and I still am. Living a life of people pleasing is not easy, it’s actually quite difficult. We like to put everyone’s problems before our own and don’t know what it’s like to say “no”. Here is what it is like to live the life of a people pleaser:
You are CONSTANTLY catering to everyone's needs
Not wanting to go out, but you just can’t say no
When you try to say no but you end up saying yes anyways
You always feel the need to apologize for wanting to do your own thing
People always assume that you'll do something for them
Over planning your weekend when you know you don’t want to do any of it
When someone is talking way too much but you’re too polite to say anything
When you finally get tired of all the pleasing
But no matter how hard you try, you will always be a people pleaser
