Most children at the age of four are worried about playing with other children, learning colors and numbers, and creating an make-believe friend. At age four, Dorian Murray was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

Most children at the age of seven are becoming more involved with school, hobbies, sports, and making friends. At age seven, Dorian Murray was fighting a relapse of cancer.

Now, at age eight, Dorian has made his one final wish before going to heaven: To become famous.

Dorian Murray from Westerly, Rhode Island told his father that all he wanted before dying was to be famous in China. The boy has been fighting cancer since he was 4 years old. When they recently found that Dorian’s cancer reached his spinal fluid and the family decided to stop treatments and let him finish his fight. Followers from all over the world have been following his story through the Facebook page Praying for Dorian. The page is updated by Dorian’s parents and allows nearly 92,000 followers to support his fight by being D-Strong. When Dorian wished to become famous in China, the family posted the message on Facebook asking their followers to help make his wish come true. They asked people from all across the world to send a picture to Dorian with a #D-STRONG sign.

The family immediately started receiving responses. They received pictures from strangers at the Great Wall in China. Celebrities such as Conan O’Brian, Kevin James, Nick Cannon, Justin Bieber, and many more have reached out to show their support.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski even gave him and his family a surprise visit.

Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, also invited Dorian and his family to the Patriot’s playoff game on January 16th.

The people of Westerly, Rhode Island gathered together on Sunday, January 17th to help make the wish come true from his hometown. More than 2,500 people showed up to spell out the D-STRONG message in Misquamicut. The process was captured by drones and sent to the family.

At the young age of 8, Dorian Murray has brought inspiration to people all across the world. He has taught people strength and encouraged others to never stop fighting no matter what challenges may arise. Dorian’s story has showed the world that someone from a small town in the smallest state can make a difference in the world. Along with his incredibly strong parents, Dorian is increasing the awareness of pediatric cancer. The Murray family has touched many hearts across the world and will continue the fight forever.

Dorian will forever be in my prayers.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better.
