This is a work of fiction.
It was a cold night. Clouds filled the black sky hiding the full moon that haunted sky. It was almost midnight and anyone and everyone should have been at home. For it was the night the terrible things came and killed and no one was safe.
Gemma Harrison, a feisty redhead with piercing green eyes, was not at home instead she was walking. That was just it. She was just walking. She didn't know where she was going; all she knew was that she had to leave. Suddenly she heard a noise from behind her. She pulled out the knife she had because she knew she would be in danger. She knew they wouldn't like it if she tried to leave the place she called Hell. Nothing happened. She put the knife up and continued to walk nowhere.
Gemma used to have a normal life. She used to hang out with her friends, go to school, and she used to have fun but now she couldn't even smile. It wasn't her fault though. It was the terrible people that would kill her tonight. They haunted her nightmares and there was no way for her to stop them. They were evil. They were murderers. As she was walking, she began to think of all her family that had been killed. " My parents. My grandparents. My best friend. My husband. My sisters. My brothers. Everyone. They killed everyone." Her eyes began to water but she didn't cry; she never cried. She couldn't cry because it was sign of weakness and she didn't need to be weak.
The terrible people were the worst beings to ever exist. They were a group of people who believed they were descendants of the gods. They believed that their only job was rid the earth of undesirables. It used to okay. They got rid of murderers, rapists, and every other scum that walked the earth. However, they eventually began to innocent minors such as babies. It was awful. Everything was going bad and it shouldn't have.
It was Gemma's turn to die and she knew it too, but she wasn't going down without a fight. The terrible people destroyed everything she loved because they thought it was their job. It was pathetic. She stopped walking to catch her breath. She looked around at the nothingness that surrounded her. What used to be a happy neighborhood was now an abandoned waste land. People used to laugh and play. Now everyone just hides in their homes. She was ready to die because she already was dead on the inside. She took a deep breath and yelled, " Come on! Kill me already! I want to die so go ahead and get it over with! Kill me now!"
Suddenly, a figure appeared from the shadows. His hair was as black as ink and his eyes were completely red. " You know you should be inside, right?" His voice was raspy as if his throat had been scratched by glass. Gemma spoke loud and clear, " You do know that I don't care, right" The man snarled, " I would watch it if I were you." Gemma just shook her head and said, " What are you going to do? Kill me! Because that is all I want right now!" Fed up with Gemma, the man lunged at her choking her until she was limp. He let go of her and walked back into the shadows without a care. Gemma laid in the street dead, but with a smile on her face because now she could see her family again.
