You will never know the joy that dogs bring to the world until you have one of your own. There are so many things that dogs do for us that they don’t even realize. Even just a simple puppy dog look, and our day can change from bad to great. There is nothing like the relationship that you share with your dog.
On the days where you may feel defeated and drained, the minute you walk in the door you always have a rambunctious dog to run up to you and cover your face in kisses and slobber. They always make you feel as if you are so special and loved, no matter what you may have faced that day.
The house always feels a lot less lonely with a dog around, because you know you’re never truly alone. When everyone decides to go out for the night and you just aren’t feeling it, you know that your dog will be beyond excited to have you stay in for the night. You always have your dog to lay by your side and keep you company, especially during times of sadness or sickness.
You will always have your dog to share all your problems with, even if they may not be able to truly understand you. Just their silence and cute puppy eyes will make you feel like you just got out of a therapy session. All the days where you come home and need a shoulder to cry on, they will be right there beside you and truly do not mind if you get their fur all wet.
Food will never go to waste in your house when your dog is around. They will make sure you know that they are sitting there and waiting for food. They know that if they act good enough, you may give them a scrap of your food or let them lick your plate when you’re finished. All you have to do when you finish eating is place your plate on the ground and before you know it, the plate is spotless.
Dogs are always down for a nice long walk or run. They give you a reason to get outside every day, even when it’s completely freezing or raining. They act as protectors for wherever your walk may take you. They get you out of bed to get on your feet and stay active. The joy they feel after a nice, long walk will surely bring you joy as well.
Though a dog may be just a small part of your world, you are their entire world. They make you feel special and important because they are always excited to see you and spend time with you. Dogs are a gift to the world that can never truly be cherished unless you have a dog of your own. They make the world a happier, more beautiful, and more loveable place.
