Everything in this world is composed of matter and energy; it is neither created nor destroyed. We are constantly exporting and importing different vibrations. The love-based emotions such as joy, peace, and gratitude operate on a higher frequency than the fear-based emotions like hate, anger, and jealousy. The higher the frequency you give out, the more abundance you attract in your life.

The happiest people in this world practice gratuity on a cons basis, ego, giving out and receiving energy of high frequency. On the other end of the spectrum, notice how negative people keep attracting more negative situations in their lives. They operate on a low-level vibration. Hence, the universe only sends them futile results. If you believe that you are unfortunate and nothing good ever happens to you, then that is exactly what you are.

As Henry Ford once said, “Whether you believe you can or you can’t, you’re right.” The things that people acquire are based on their belief systems about themselves. So, if you’re angry at the world for not giving you what you want, don’t blame the universe or anyone else. The universe and the people who surround you are mere reflections of yourself. It’s like investing in stocks. You can’t expect to win big when you’re playing in the low-risk section.

When you’re grateful, you are exploding with a massive amount of good energy. The divine being and the universe loves that because love is what the world is conceived by. All love-based emotions are in correlation and in flow with the world. To put it in simple terms, if you are giving a gift to someone, would you be willing to give more if the receiver is appreciative or unappreciative. The answer is obvious. Apply this same concept to yourself and the universe.

If you’ve been stuck in a rut for a while, worry not. It’s never too late to get unstuck. Start by shifting your focus from the things you don’t want to the things that you do want. Then thank the heavens for all that you have, for all that you’ve been given, and blessed with. Think about what makes you unique. Assess yourself by making a personal balance sheet, but concentrate on the credits rather than the liabilities. Once you start making this list, you’ll realize that you have far more pros than cons. Just by reading this article right now, you’ve already got one credit down. The ability to read is not a gift that everyone has.

If you’re too lazy or simply do not have the patience to write anything down, then just practice gratuity in your mind. Wake up every morning and be thankful for that. Be thankful for being alive, having the privilege to take air into your lungs, and everything that you’ve took advantage of. Ask for forgiveness and love.

Do this and watch your life take a turn for the better

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
