They will be there for you

Think about it: you and your friends all live in the same dorm, all go to Starbucks together, and hang out together all of the time. Now think about the show Friends: they live in two apartments, all go to Central Perk together, and hang out together all of the time.

The "Monica."

This is the competitive friend in your friend group. They are the one who is constantly yelling at the referee when you and your friends go to any type of game at school. Your friend is very Type A, but that is part of their charm, they will be the one to put your whole friend group together. Whether they're making sure all of your rooms are clean, or scolding everyone to get their lives together when they need it the most, they are a good friend to keep around. Especially if you have way too much money on your meal plan and need a friend to help you finish it before the semester's over.

The "Joey."

Don’t let this friend anywhere near your meal plan! Nevertheless, this person is a great friend. Even though they may be pretty simple-minded, their heart is in the right place 100 percent of the time. They will be there for you when the going gets tough, or when you just need someone to get your mind off of classes. Your friend probably doesn’t have their act together in the grades department, and might be still hoping that their acting career will one day pay off. Just remember, when times get tough for this friend be sure to ask them, "How you doin'?"

The "Chandler."

This friend is usually off somewhere telling someone a bad joke, or what they would probably call "great sarcasm." This friend is probably one of the only ones out of your friend group that thinks logically almost all of the time. Class-wise, they don't know what they want to major in because they can’t imagine sticking to one job for the rest of their life.

The "Phoebe."

You never get bored when you’re around this friend. You can sit with them for hours on end talking about nonsense. This friend is one of the most imaginative people that you have ever met, and because of that, can’t decide what they want to major in. They want to try each and every class before picking a major. Your friend is open to anything, whether it be family, friends, or love. When it comes to the weekend, this friend only wants to go on an adventure and won't stand for spending the afternoon stuck in the dorm.

The "Ross."

This is the self-proclaimed “nerd” of your friend group. This friend is pretty shy and keeps to themselves but when they open up to someone, they will love you with their whole heart. This could be great, or it could lead them to a lot of heartbreak. This is the friend that is trustworthy, compassionate, and generous. During their college years, they will be following their passion, even if it's something really dorky and you don’t understand it at all. They are both the favorite child of their family and one of your favorite friends.

The "Rachel."

While you are going to class in sweats, this friend probably took an hour to get ready this morning. Your friend loves their appearance and always has new fashion trends on the brain. They are constantly aware of their surroundings and because of that, really care about other people and what they are thinking. College is probably the first time that this friend is on their own, and is trying their best to adjust to it, so they are going to need your help sometimes.

The more you think about it, the more your friends start to look like the cast of "Friends" (cue the theme music).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
