This past weekend I was involved with working a youth event with my college bible study group. At this event over 3,000 youth came together worship. This was an amazing experience, however, the people that helped staff did not get any sleep, and here's how we did it.
1. Give up. You must realize that what you're here for is far more important than your needs and wants. We are here to help facilitate these young adults to build relationships with Christ, therefore being a little sleep deprived doesn't matter as much.
2. Bring snacks. No healthy snacks. You must bring the junkiest junk food there is.
3. Do not listen to Tanner. We all have those leaders that are always getting lost themselves. Do not follow them.
4. Caffeine.
5. Extension cords are a must. Everyone will need to charge phones, laptops tablets, Apple watches, and even a toothbrush.
With these five things you just MIGHT be able to make it through being staff at a youth event.
