Summer is coming to an end, and it smells like that time of the year, when the alarm sounds, more responsibilities are put into place, and the semester of college begins. For many individuals out there, most of them are ready for the college semester to proceed and start. They are the ones who see themselves ready for their futures to begin or continue on depending if whether they are returning or new incoming college students.

When talking and describing the University of South Florida St. Petersburg (USFSP), the first thing many will consider and take into reality is the class sizes between the Tampa and St. Pete campuses. As for Hannah Fizell, a new transfer student starting her University of South Florida St. Petersburg career, she knew right away, her heart was going to get her to the beautiful institute.

Being a St. Pete native, she knows the ins and outs of the area, and that USFSP would not be an issue to attend to further on her education. Hannah plans on graduating with her BS in Biology along with the hopes of reaching a career goal dealing with shark research.

Fizell also explains again the class sizes and how USFSP fits best for her due to the least number of students in her classes compared to the Tampa campus, which then helps her get one-on-one help and assistance with her professors. In the end of it all, Hannah's goal is to retain all she has learned and developed in USFSP and have a good background knowledge in her ideal future career and have the skills and experience that will help her along the way.

Another University of South Florida St. Petersburg and returning student, David Thompson, speaks and discusses his view points of the beautiful campus.

Being in his second year as a student, he has seen and comprehended what USFSP has to offer and what challenges he has to face. Thompson's hometown is located in Silver Springs, Maryland, and later on in his life, he moved over to Ocala, Florida. Besides having the beautiful water beside campus, David as well wanted to attend a smaller institute than others, and felt as if his seeking degree would fit best with USFSP, which includes a double major in political science and history, along with a minor in environmental policy.

David tends to keep himself busy and active while attending USFSP which includes him being a member of the Executive Branch of Student Government, treasurer for the Environmental Science and Sustainability Club, and President and Founder of the College Democrats at USFSP. David's intentions and goals when finishing USFSP is to have the ability to connect and give back to his community and plans on working to achieve a masters degree along with becoming active in the political process and political world.

It is safe to say for these students, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus has been working out for them very well academically. As for the big University of South Florida campus located in Tampa, Florida, I, Andrew Girard will be discussing my thoughts and opinions of the institute.

Being a junior transfer student, I was fortunate to have some college background prior to entering the University. My seeking degree deals with business management, which is based out of MUMA College of Business. The fact that I live only about forty-five minutes from the campus, I knew commuting would best suit for me, and that I knew the area of the campus in Tampa and what surrounds it.

Besides its great academics and history of education, the University of South Florida in Tampa does a great job in getting every single student to get out there and attend social events and to have the ability to meet others, whether you are a transfer student or a freshman starting college for the first time. My goal at the end of my journey here at USF is to graduate with my bachelors in business management and retain all the information I have learned and find a great future job where I can make myself proud knowing I attended a great institution that helped me in so many ways.

Besides us three discussing our view points, it is up for all the rest of the other students out there around our country and world, to do their best to fit in the school they want to continue on their education in. Both campuses of University of South Florida offer great opportunities for students wanting to learn and grow, and hopefully you yourself can make that extra step to make it all a reality.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
