After surviving the long school year, everyone looks forward to summer with high expectations. You don't have classes and can be care free for the next four months. You get to go home and see your childhood friends and share all of your stories from the past few months at college. Together, you start to make plans to go on short vacations, different adventures, and the excitement of the next few months grows.
Don't take this time for granted You only have a few months back with your friends, make them count. Go along on their late night adventures no matter how tired you are, you will be upset you missed out when you hear the stories the next day.
Live A Little Go on adventures with your friends, go hiking, and take spontaneous trips. Go places you've never been, take road trips and try new things.
Reconnect Get back in touch with kids you went to high school with. They had a long, stressful year too, and you can relate in multiple ways. Get back with old sports teams, and get pick up games together.
Stay in Touch Keep in contact with your new friends. You have formed bonds you will miss over the summer.
Give your Brain a Break Don't stress about your grades or school. Take time away from the stress. You can't change your grades from last semester now, and they will still be there to worry about when you get back to school.
Get a Job Get a job, but don't let it control your summer. The extra cash is great to pay for all your adventures, but you shouldn't be stressing over hours at work on your break.
Take the time to make a bucket list with your friends. You will come up with great ideas and the experiences will be more enjoyable with those you enjoy spending time with. You will look back in a few years with endless stories and memories on these months and wish you could relive these years.
