The End Of The Semester As Told By 'The Emperor's New Groove'

It's that time again. That time where the semester comes to an end and we all get bombarded with all the work that we have put off all semester. It never fails, we question how we could put ourselves in this position again and again. "I can't believe this is happening!"- Kuzco

When it is finally time to act like the end of the semester is present.

For some ridiculous reason we tend to be overly confident of our abilities to get through the roughest part of the semester easily.

Your attempt of trying to catch up with with the rest of the class after not caring for the past three months.

Good luck! It is a real struggle and you will hit many road blocks, but I believe in you. We've all been there.

That moment when your professor adds a last minute test before exams.

This should never be a thing. This is the exact reason that every professor in existence has that fine print at the bottom their syllabus. *The professor reserves the right to adjust this schedule as needed*

Trying to remember everything you just crammed in your brain over the period of a few days.

Everything you were suppose to learn throughout the semester is now being shoved in your face at once.

That point where you try to decided if it would just be better to drop out and work at McDonalds forever.

Although most students jokingly question whether or not they should drop out all throughout the semester, it isn't a joke anymore once you have reached this point of the semester.

The look you give your friends when they tell you that they already have everything done for the semester.

Responsible and productive friends are the worst sometimes and you can't help but strongly dislike and envy them at the same time.

How you feel after getting all that work done.

There is no greater feeling than beating the impossible.

How you feel about waking up for 8 a.m. exams.

You haven't had an 8 a.m. class all semester and for some reason the most important test you take for the class happens to be earlier than you have seen all year.

The instant reaction after walking out of said exam.

This is that moment where you walk out of the exam and wonder if you showed up to the right class.

That moment right before you check your final grades.

Because ignorance is bliss and you'd rather not know.

That incredible feeling when all the grades are in and summer has officially began.

At this point, nothing else matters.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
