To the graduating seniors,
Another semester is about to end and looking back, I think it's been a pretty good one. The only problem I have with the end of the semester, besides finals, is the sad feeling I get when I realize I'll be away from everyone. For most of my friends, I know I'll see them in the fall as we muddle through our first week of new classes together. On the other hand, I know quite a few seniors who are leaving. You're moving on to bigger and better things. You're going to graduate school, law school, or even going onto a real job.
First off let me start by saying that I'm proud of everything you've accomplished. You've been through so much this past semester trying to make sure that you were motivated enough to keep going. I know there have been what felt like endless hours spent in the library, trying to get your homework done, or studying for that horrible test. You don't have to worry about that anymore.
These past four years may have felt like a blur but I want you to know you have touched more people's lives than you know. I want to thank the seniors for making this college so memorable. You're the ones who came before us, who set traditions, held positions and lent a helping hand to the awkward freshman who didn't know what they were doing.
Remember that just because you graduated doesn't mean this is "goodbye", it's just an "I'll see you later."
So congrats to the graduating seniors of 2016. May you hold your diploma high as you cross that stage at graduation.
Love,
An underclassman who will miss you.
