We all bleed red. Why is that a question? Why is that society as a whole feels the need to create black lives matter and all lives matter, hashtags, with so much hate and love towards those three words? When did we stop caring about everyone as a person? We do the hashtag police lives matter, without realizing the whole truth. We need to stop creating hashtags without actually doing something about it.
In 2013, Black Lives Matter was started after George Zimmerman's shooting of Trayvon Martin, who unfortunately died from it. Black Lives Matter is not a moment, but a movement. The main reason that this was started, to show to the world and the community the unjustified events that are happening to a majority of Black people. Between the assaults and the violence that is supposed because of them, leading them to jail time. Overall, Black Lives Matter main goal is to have a place that is no longer constantly destined for death.
All Lives Matter, was created shortly after Black Lives Matter intentionally or unintentionally, against the Black Lives Matter movement. While this idea might seem to be the better one, it is why it is popular. All lives matter is essentially unintentionally against Black Lives Matter.
There a couple of analogies going around, some being on the NY Times website. One of the analogies is: A house on fire need's more water than the neighbor's house that isn't on fire. While this is strange analogy this makes a lot of sense. It makes sense, for the house that is on fire to get the water, but put it into the perspective and it brings up the question if both houses are on fire, who gets the water? The one who had the fire before or the other home?
Another movement, not as big, but just as important is the Blue Lives Matter movement, which was created after the killings of two New York City Police Department members this is also to report the findings of those who are against police members overall. Now when a police officer goes out, into the world, they know that there is a possibility that they will be shot.
That is part of there job, they will go out into the world, saving and protecting us, all with the knowledge that they may not come home. This information should not stop anyone from becoming a police officer or even supporting one, just be aware that you may have to face reality sooner than you thought.
There is a song called 'Bleed Red' by Ronnie Dunn, one of the lines is 'We all bleed red, we all taste rain, all fall down, lose our way'. This is a big statement, in the end, we all will bleed red, we all taste the same rain, snow, feel the sun on our skins. In the end, we all die, so how does it make a difference what skin color we are, or what sexuality we are. In the end, we all bleed red.
