Donald Trump is a presidential candidate and is one of the top most discussed people around the world these days. Everyone I have talked to is not exactly his biggest fan, so I am not sure how he got to be the cream of the crop for presidency, but right now this is what the nation is dealing with. Who do we vote for? What will happen for the future? Discussions such as these can include some comedy or derogatory. This is typical toward an issue and decision such as the next president of the United States.
Butt-naked Trump has been revealed and brings emotions towards the public eye. Now, there have been many instances regarding Trump that people laugh about, but this can be seen as crossing a line. A statue of Trump has been placed outside for public to see clearly representing the human body poorly and it is unflattering. It is just overall uncomfortable. This goes past Trump and straight to the topic of body shamming. Not only does it body shame and make the community uncomfortable, but it is also being used as entertainment via Pokéstop and as a photography prop.
Some are excited about the fact that the artist, "Indecline," created such a representation of Trump while others think this is too far and body has nothing to do with politics, which it doesn't. The statue has been removed because of such reasons of body shaming and public inappropriateness.
What is body shaming, anyways? It is criticizing your own or someone else's body through judgement or even comparing to another's body. Everyone has insecurities, and they do not need anyone else's help amplifying them. This gesture towards Trump is inappropriate and annoying. Trump and Clinton, both, have issues far from what they look like. The country should be concerned about politics and what the future will look like, not criticizing what the presidential candidate looks like.
This election is a big decision. Let's not use body-shaming to help determine the future for our nation. Okay? Okay.
