Summer is ending very soon and it is almost time to move into your new home--not a dorm, but an actual house. While living in the dorms we always say how we can't wait to leave, but there are some things that will be missed.
1. Having a roommate.
2. Being able to see all of your friends under one roof.
3. The nights where you ask if you can "have the room for the night."
4. Having movie nights in a small box of a room on your laptop.
5. Locking yourself out of your room and having to walk down eight flights of stairs because you are too lazy to wait for the elevator.
6. Unlimited food at the dining hall...obviously I am talking about unlimited salad...not.
7. Pulling all nighters in the lounge room because everyone else in the suite is sleeping.
8. Being told quiet hours start at a certain time and not obeying those rules.
9. Parties in your dorm that boosted your ego because everyone came to hangout.
10. Not being able to poop for days because you are scared someone is going to walk in.
11. Never being alone.
12. Living with 600 people.
13. Living next to someone you have a crush on.
14. Breaking the rules...like letting someone from another building into your building after doors lock.
15. Having to walk everywhere because you don't have a car on campus.
16. Being so close to the library and classes that you can literally roll out of bed five minutes before.
17. Getting locked out of your building at 3 a.m. and having to call your roommate to let you in.
18. Walk of shame across campus.
19. Having a gym in your building... not that you actually went, but it was cool that it was there.
20. Six girls...one shower.
21. MOST IMPORTANTLY: toilet talks. I mean, how else am I going to know when there are events? Or facts about how bad drinking, sex, and drugs are?
22. The last moment when you close your dorm door to an empty room. That empty feeling you feel inside of your heart.
Take full advantage of the dorms while you still can because before you know it you will be cleaning your own bathroom, making your own food, and more importantly, having to fix your WiFi yourself!
