The Coincidence Of Life: How Your Choices Can Affect Who You Will Be

You are here now, at this very moment, a trail of events leading up to where you are--is it all destiny? Or a series of coincidences? Perhaps a little bit of both. Life is a magnificent element filled with randomness; the same series of randomness that leads to where you are now. Think about it. Think about all you had to achieve to get to the present: all the obstacles you had to face, all the choices you had to make, all the places you had to venture to to arrive at where you are now. A phenomenal thought, isn't it? As contradictory as it sounds, destiny and coincidence coincide with one another. The series of coincidence in life is only strengthened by your destiny and vice versa.

Do you ever recall a time where you had to choose between two different aspects that you knew would hail different outcomes? That choice you made wrote the path for your life. For example, moving to another state; you could have remained in a certain area and the life you experienced while living in that same area would have been completely different from the life you would have experienced had you moved to another state. You made a choice and fulfilled your destiny. You paved the pathway to your life. However, the universal question remains: how would your life have turned out had you chosen otherwise? We humans live in a series of different timelines, timelines that perhaps accompany different dimensions and parallel multiverses in space and time. Imagine having two different dimensions where the two different choices are played out, creating two different timelines and the chain of events that lead up to the present. It's an interesting notion to be able to perceive and choose which life would have been better. Even though alternate timelines aren't proven in reality, you can still imagine the events of multiple different timelines regarding different choices and the result of those timelines.

Say you previously picked to stay at your current state because out of coincidence your boss quit and you got selected to be his replacement. Think about just how strange of a coincidence this truly is--your boss quit right when you were considering moving and you received a promotion. A coincidence to rule your destiny to reside with a better lifestyle. Life is made of up these little hooks and coincidence that nudges you toward the path you take, a single timeline. With your promotion comes a higher salary which enables you to finally move into that quaint little home you've been eyeing for years which coincidentally just became available. With all the paperwork done, you finally move into your new home. This is a new addition to your life, you could have purchased any house on any street but you choose to go for your dream house which by chance just appeared on the market--another coincidence to rule your destiny.

Everything has been immensely busy so you haven't had the chance to revert to your daily routine. However with things settling down, you are finally able to practice. You start out one morning with a jog since you haven't had the chance to work out your muscles ever since the move. You explore the new region and find a line-up of neat little shops, one in particular catches your eye. You slow down and find yourself parched. Delighted and gracious you advance towards the juice shop for a refreshing treat. You pick this particular shop over all of the others because of the unique design. You enter and a little bell jingles and along with it several smiles and whimsical laughter. Lost in a frenzy of good vibes you forget to watch where you're headed and bump into someone. It's a man/woman, and you've spilled their drink. You apologize to them and they smile and say to you that you can make it up to them by buying them another drink. Friendship blossoms, and soon it grows into something entirely more. Marriage follows and before you know it, you have your family scampering about in a your dream home. All of this happened because you decided to step foot into a juice shop years back.

Funny isn't it? Life surprises us with coincidences that write our destiny. Every choice we make is linked with a coincidence that touches another which makes up the very essence of life--the domino effect of life. Just think about it, if you had done one thing differently in your past, where would you have ended up right now? Here is one example that truly made me realize how coincidental life truly is--I was involved in a car crash a long time ago, we had been hit by a car on a highway because the driver of the car i was riding in missed a stop sign. There was a truck following the car, if we had been a second behind schedule, i would not be here writing this article today. The fact that our destiny is determined by a minuscule of coincidence is one I've never fully soaked in, it always awes me. Every little event that has ever happened to you, it all led up to where you are today. Life is a true phenomenon filled with numerous timelines and coincidence. Next time you make a choice think to yourself--where will this choice take me?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
