Work, school, studying, writing, socializing and more work. This is pretty much what my life is at the moment. We can all relate to being really busy at some point in our lives, but this has been the busiest summer of my life. I've always been a busy person since I'm constantly involved in school activities, working two jobs and have an active social life. When I get free time, I'm shocked and don't know what to do with myself. However, I'm really happy because I can finally relax.
When you're the busy type, prioritizing is the best thing. Prioritizing is important because it helps you organize tasks and get them done. It's easy to get caught up in one thing and forget to do another. Then, you're scrambling to do whatever it is you forgot to do. This then stresses you out to no end. This pattern is all too familiar for some. This is why prioritizing is important. Not only that, but taking time for yourself is important. It isn't always easy to "take a day off" because there is too much to do. The last time I really "enjoyed" my summer was when we went on vacation in New Mexico at the end of May. It's now the middle of July. I haven't really had time to enjoy summer activities, like going swimming. I usually treat myself to fun time when I'm done with whatever it was that I was doing, but sometimes my mind says "forget it." That point is when I know I'm too stressed and need to put my foot down.
