The 7 Best Shows To Binge-Watch On Netflix

Since I have gotten Netflix, I have become a pro at binge watching. It is such an easy and enjoyable pass-time. Netflix has truly brought people together from "Netflix and chill" to girl's night in. Here are some of the best-ranked shows on Netflix that you should binge watch.

1. "Gossip Girl."

What girl doesn't dream of being Serena Van Der Woodsen or Blair Waldorf? When I watched "Gossip Girl," I got to live vicariously through Serena and Blair as they fought each other in school, over boys and the fashion industry of New York City. By the end of the "Gossip Girl" series, you will be shocked but also in love with each and every character. XOXO.

2. "Grey's Anatomy."

While watching "Grey's Anatomy," not only did I become attached to each character but I also thought that I learned a lot from every episode. Of course, I'm still not a doctor but I feel as if I know the basics. You will need a box of tissues for every episode because they will rip your heart out and bring you back to life time and time again.

3. "How I Met Your Mother."

Honestly, at first I was skeptical of "How I Met Your Mother" but after hearing my boyfriend and his friends constantly talk about the show, I decided to give it a try. You will learn a lot of life lessons through this show while dying laughing each episode.

4. "Gilmore Girls."

I remember coming home from middle school every day wanting to watch "Gilmore Girls," and being able to watch every season on Netflix has been a dream come true. Almost every girl will be able to relate to at least one of Rory's relationships and every mother-daughter pair will want to have what Lorelei and Rory have. Luke is the perfect father figure for Rory as she grows up. You will feel as if you are a part of their family. There is no better time to binge watch "Gilmore Girls" than now because a revival of the show has been confirmed.

5. "Friday Night Lights."

"Friday Night Lights" is my current addiction, and it takes me back to high school each episode. I may not have come from a school in Texas where football is extremely serious but I came from a school with a lot of spirit, and our student section was the place to be on a Friday night. You'll be on the edge of your seat hoping that the Dillon Panthers will make it to state but keep in mind "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Loose."

6. "New Girl."

I would say that when I graduate college, I want to be like Jess and move to a loft and make life-long friends, but moving in with four guys who are all very unique doesn't sound like the best plan. I want the friendships and the confidence that Jess has but maybe within a long-term job and a better living situation. Although the daily life of Jess, Nick, Schmitt, Cece and Winston is very entertaining, it's made for the screen not reality.

7. "Scandal."

Looking for some political action, because "Scandal" is full of action. This is definitely not a show that I would watch with my parents in the room because that would be awkward. I got attached to the relationships in the show really fast and sided with characters I didn't expect to even like. My only advice for those of you interested in watching "Scandal" is to not give up. At times, it will seem repetitive, but in the end it is so worth it. Trust me.

There you have it, seven shows currently on Netflix that I suggest you binge-watch in your free time. As a college student, I know that Netflix is worth the monthly payment, whether you are multitasking or procrastinating, investing your time into these great yet different shows will be worth it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
