No One Better In The White House

2 years later and still undeniably best president and first lady

No One Better In The White House

To this day, I still think that Barack Obama and Michelle Obama were the best husband-wife duo to every walk to the white house. If you haven't seen the adorable video of Barack surprising Michelle at her book release, I've linked it for you to enjoy. It has been more than 2 years since they have left and their impact continues to grow bigger everyday. Each of them has impacted all the students, work force, etc all across this nation. And Barack and Michelle have not stopped there. They have continued to help others as a way to showing that they are normal people who can still make a difference.

Former President Obama continues to advocate his polices that made him so popular and unpopular as a president from 2009 to the day he left office in 2017. Obama has continued to try to convince Congress of the growing impact of climate change while also helping Americans use Alternative energy sources to help the United States grow into a country in which we become the world leaders in helping save the environment. However, he has gone head to head with current president Donald Trump over issues such as the recent economic growth and the immigration system that has been overly controlled by the Trump administration. The recent nefarious behavior of ICE or US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been making good on Trumps promise of trying to deport every non-white or non-black individual in the United States. Data shows that while the number of Border Deportations have stayed the same from the Obama to Trump administration, inside the country deportations have gone up with Trump in Power. As for the environment, Republican's were never big on helping save the climate so the Trump Administration has basically repealed all that the Obama Administration did to help the environment.

As for Michelle Obama, she will be very missed. While a lot of students dislike her due to her policies about healthy school eating and etc, she was instrumental in making the US a healthier place. And while she has been on break from being with her family, she wrote a book called "Becoming Michelle Obama" which has gone on to sell more copies than Donald Trump's book did in 32 years. At the end of the day, she is a far more interactive first lady than Melania Trump who has been silent behind her husband's brash mouth. This has become a defined movement for her and she has continually been quiet when her support was needed the most. Every first lady has gone on to attempt to fix an issue in the US but Melania has been quiet and has not chosen one when her voice is needed the most.

At the end of the day, the choice is clear about who had a bigger impact on the white house and the overall state of the US. Barack and Michelle still continue to inspire me to this day about how much they care for other people and how much they continue to help others. Thank you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
