The Best Friendship Of 'One Tree Hill'

OK, I'm going to say it. Don't take it the wrong way. Please just hear me out: Brooke and Peyton didn't have the best friendship of "One Tree Hill."

Don't get me wrong, B. Davis and P. Sawyer saw some good moments, and they really did love each other, and saved each others life at times (like the time the crazy stalker guy tried to kill them) but I'm here to advocate for the behind the scenes friendship, the one that was steady and always there.... Haley and Brooke.

Haley helped Brooke grow into the person she was meant to be, and Brooke helped Haley step out of her comfort zone. Their friendship grew every season, and in the later years, became the only certain thing that either of them had. If you need some help to remember here are a few moments worth re-living.

When Brooke made Haley step out of her comfort zone.

Everything about Brooke was bold, and the best parts of that rubbed off on Haley to make her into the person she was meant to be.

When they were roommates

Haley didn't have anywhere to go, and Brooke was the one that was there for her and let her move in. Then when Haley and Nathan needed a place to live, Brooke moved out and let them have her apartment.

When all Brooke ever needed was someone to believe in her

Haley became the person to put her faith in her and never let it waiver. She knew the real Brooke, the Brooke worth knowing and loving.

When they weren't just friends, they were family.

Brooke didn't always have the best example of family to look at, so It gave her a foundation to stand on when she needed it the most. She was loved unconditionally, and was the best Aunt Brooke.

When Haley gave the MOH speech that brought us all to tears.

"and I used to wonder back then ‘What would it be like to be friends with Brooke? Would she make me popular? Would all the boys are asking me out?’ And then one night I got to hang out with Brooke, all night. Oh, and she didn’t like my name, though, so she decided she was gonna give me a name that, uh, she did like, which ended up being Brooke. And from that moment I knew that I wanted Brooke to be my friend. Not because she was gonna make me popular, and not because boys would start asking me out, but because I got a glimpse of the real Brooke. A girl with the biggest heart that I have ever known. And you know, when you’re in high school, it’s not very easy to let people see who you really are. I could see it though, it was in the eyes. So we became friends, and now she’s my best friend."

When they re-opened Karen's cafe together

Because at the end of the day, they both knew Tree Hill was home, and Karen's cafe was a safe place to feel that.

In the words of P. Sawyer - "People always leave"

But Haley and Brooke did not.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
