There is nothing in this world that can beat the feeling of the day of a concert. From the moment you wake up, it is the first thing on your mind. You keep yourself busy just so time will go by faster. You get ready hours before you need to while blaring the artist's music. Then comes the anticipation of the drive to the venue and the first steps into the arena.
Sitting in your seats finally and staring at the stage where your favorite artist will soon step. It truly is an amazing feeling to know that this long-anticipated concert is finally happening and the person you admire so much will be in flesh right in front of your eyes.
Sitting in those stadium chairs makes you feel thankfulness all throughout your body and you just can't shake the smile from your face. When the openers are finally on stage and doing their sets, you can feel the anticipation in the arena rising and the energy increasing.
There are truly no words to describe the feeling of when the lights completely turn off right before the main performer. The room erupts with screams and cheers and the excitement is overwhelming.
It's finally time for the concert to begin. The feeling of being able to sing and dance with no judgment from those around you is the definition of pure joy. Standing in a big arena with so many others that share the same love for the artist you are seeing is what is beautiful in this world.
The artist you are seeing could be a friend's favorite and you're tagging along, or it's your favorite artist of all time, or they could be a childhood favorite that you've waited your whole life to see. No matter the artist or what they mean to you, concerts are a time to be most alive. They allow you to express your love back to the artist with the amazing music they give to you time after time.
After the concert is over, the so-called "concert depression" begins to set in. The adrenaline of the concert begins to wear off and you realize that this long-awaited day is sadly over. You sit in the concert traffic and look over the videos and pictures you took of the amazing night. You discuss your favorite parts of the night with your friends or family and blare their music that you just heard live.
Concerts are a big part of our lives as humans. They help us to see that these artists are in fact real and give us a chance to share our love and enjoyment with other fans. Concerts enable us to sing, laugh, smile, cry, and dance within a two hour time period. They keep us human and are so important to our lives.
