My love for Ben Higgins completely crashed and burned last Monday, as he broke not only Jojo's heart, but the hearts of all the true Jojo fans out there. The dragged out finale left viewers stunned, as Ben Higgins could not even decide which woman he wanted to marry up until picking out the engagement ring. Watching the three hour show, biting every finger nail, here are some thoughts that probably went through viewer's heads during one of the most confusing finales ever.
1. Lauren, what is that outfit choice?
When Lauren strides into Ben's home she's carrying a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine, classy. But on the other hand what is with this outfit? A black maxi skirt with a tank top tied in the front? Is this 6th grade when we would tie our t-shirts in a knot to the side with an elastic? Moment of silence for that phase.
2. Ben's mom is an emotional wreck.
When Ben tells his mom he loves two ladies, his mom looks at him like a deer in the headlights. Traditional Ben's mom cannot handle this love triangle, and ultimately cries the entire time out of not knowing what else to say and it's straight awkward.
3. Is that Jojo's shoe? Or Lauren's?
The camera flashed a wide view of the helicopter landing in the grass and slowly zoomed up to the door. Classically, they wait a solid ten seconds before someone walks out. When a silver heel popped out of the helicopter Bachelor fans held their breathe before it flashed Jojo, obviously about to be eliminated as the first girl to step out of the helicopter.
4. Is Ben going to show any emotion?
Why is his face so serious? Does he know what eye contact is? Stop looking at your shoes Ben, be a real man. A couple tears would have been common courtesy.
5. Ohhhh, ouch.
"I love you **long dramatic pause**, but I just love someone else more." Way to let her down real easy by comparing her to another woman, nice. Have you never dated before, Ben? Because that surely is not the way to do it.
6. Life sucks, Love sucks, All boys suck.
As Jojo breaks down in the cab home saying she is confused where it all went wrong and how blindsided she is, we remember the times we have felt the same way. Yep, this is why we watch The Bachelor every season, if it can happen to Jojo it can happen to the best of 'em.
5. Are Lauren B. and Ben Cute? Why is this so unclear?
I can't even tell, maybe 50% of the time. But the other 50% looks extremely uncomfortable. Helloooo, you just got engaged? Is something wrong?
6. Let the games begin next year!
Finally, a break in the Lauren and Ben saga. Jojo is crowned the new Bachelorette! The addiction continues next season, but for the time being Bachelor fan's Monday nights just got a little more lonely.
