It has action. It has quick wit and humor. It's got thrills and it's got the Hulk. This humongous superhero spectacle should not be taken lightly in any sense of the word. It may be better as a piece of sci-fi action than actual storytelling, but it still delivers what fans had hoped.
"The Avengers" starts off with little vignettes of each superhero to add to the character development. That is until Loki, Thor's brother, arrives and plans to retrieve the tesseract and bring it to his master Thanos and in return Thanos will make Loki the ruler of Earth.
It's just a good feeling to know that they got all these superheroes together for one colossal superhero flick and everyone gives a strong performance as their super counterparts. However, you'll find it shocking that Edward Norton is no longer playing the Hulk, since he had a higher price tag than that of Mark Ruffalo, but when a movie makes $1.5 billion at the box office, should money really be an issue?
In any case, the movie itself has action and gripping set pieces, thanks to visionary Joss Whedon. If you haven't seen this film kids, hold on to your hats because it's going to be a bumpy ride for everyone.
