Even if you have never seen the show, most everyone knows about Friends, unless you live under a rock. I can guarantee that a majority of people have watched at least one episode. If you are like me you have watched the whole 10 seasons more than once. I feel that the characters in Friends are very relatable like Phoebe, Chandler, and Rachel. There is something about the characters that seems so realistic. I personally feel like I relate to Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) the most, but I see myself in the others as well. Here are the top 7 times I related the most to Friends, and I am sure you can relate just as much.
1. When you first move out or move to college and are trying to finically help yourself but you secretly still need your parents money.
I am a senior in college and even though I think I can support myself I still have to ask my parents to help with money every now and then. My job is not enough to fully support myself. This is about how phone conversations go with my dad, except not in a wedding dress. He makes a sarcastic remark about not giving my money anymore, then I say fine I don't need it when in reality I do.
2. When you go home for holidays and everyone and their mother wants to know how school is going, if you have a significant other, and what your doing with your future.

Between my parents, my grandma, the neighbors, and all our family friends I have been asked about this stuff countless times. If I had a dollar for every time I was asked something like this I could pay off my student loans. You would think people would get tired of asking these questions, but apparently not. Now when I get asked these questions my reaction is exactly like Chandler.
3. When friends ask for advice, and I really do not know what to tell them.
If sarcasm is your second language like it is mine, you may not always have the right words. When my friends comes to me for advice I tend to always start out with a sarcastic remark before I can get into the mindset to help them. I really do care for friends is just sarcasm comes first to helpful advice naturally.
4. When you are not graduating on time, and all your friends are.

I am only graduating a semester late, but sometimes it does suck that all your friends and your whole pledge class is graduating on time and you're stuck with one more semester of senior year. My favorite is when people tell me that they are graduating early. That's great and all, but I do not care. This is really how I feel when everyone else's life is going great, and mine is not quite at that level yet.
5. Decision making in life is not always as easy at it seems.

I do try really hard to make good decisions in my life, but sometimes I fall a little short of the wagon. Should I have spent my last $15 on tacos and margaritas? Probably not. Decision making is not one of my good talents. I am 22 years old and I still have my mom help me with life decisions. I am not read to make bid decisions on my own yet.
6. When you are told your degree will not get you anywhere in life.

It is true that my History degree was probably not the best idea (refer to #5). So I will never be a medical doctor or an engineer, but one thing I can say is that I enjoy school. I love every minute of my classes because I am doing something I love. I may not ever make a lot of money, but me and my surgeon husband will be very happy together.
7. Realizing your slowly getting old.
I will be 23 in August, which means just another year closer to 30. I have slowly started to acknowledge the fact that I am getting old and it will never stop. The saddest part is that I feel old too. When I wake up in the morning things crack and pop more than they should for a 22-year-old. I am in a rude of wakening when I'm 50.
One thing I feel I relate to the most is that I have a greatest friends in the world and I would not change them for anything!
