The 2016 Election As Told By The Peanuts

It's time to take all the seriousness down a notch and add some innocent fun to the elections now that they are over.

The 2016 Election As Told By The Peanuts
When Nerds Collide

The outcome of this election is something people joked about when the two candidates both stated they would be running. Now that the joke has become a reality, we as a nation have to stand by the choices that were made. We look to good ol' Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang to relate to the election and its outcome.

After this election, there's not enough nickels in the United States to give Lucy Van Pelt for help.

The united States is with you on that, Charlie Brown.

The amount of arguing and hatred that has happened in the past 24 hours is just incredible.

You can say that again.

Just when we all thought we all had a handle on making the US better....

We're all feeling like Charlie Brown right now while the government smiles on like Lucy.

Listening to all the promises and "I will...." speeches the candidates were making.

We can all relate to Sally Brown right now.

Having that one friend who doesn't pay any attention to politics leaving you the one who has paid attention.

Calling for the Great Pumpkin because he'd be a better president than the two candidates who ran.

Thanks for starting the campaign, Linus.

After the results came out and the new President was named.

I guarantee people are still like this right now.

This is Trump's family and political team today.

Schroeder even looks like Trump playing on the piano

Now that the elections are over, it's time we all get ready to enjoy the holidays and stand as a united nation.

Who better to lead us than the Red Baron himself in this en devour of unity

We are a strong nation when we are united. Now is the time to stand strong and come together to live in a new nation for the next four years with the new president. This nation has faced worse enemies before this; we all will survive the next four years as long as we all maintain an open mind, lots of hope, and unity.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
