This recent election was definitely one for the books. I have never seen two "professional" adults fight like children for a position that represents our entire country. Throughout the past four years, we have seen our only two probable options age backwards, rewinding their ages to mimic those of mere preteens. What better way to compare a race as immature as the one we all painfully couldn't take our eyes off of to a child's show, that makes us feel more or less the same way: Spongebob Squarepants.
How all of America reacted when we found out who was actually running for president.
We rallied with our favorite candidates, hoping that they would be the one to represent our party.
Then...we found out who was going to represent our party.
Both candidates decided to do whatever it took to get votes.
Whether it be, sucking up to get votes...
...or simply making themselves look better than the competition.
Either way, we the people got over it real quick.
The debates were more of an out for the candidates to bicker with each other than to actually cover the issues.
Millions of people tuned in just to hear "Where are the emails?" and "Did you know that I was part of the effort to help 9/11 victims?" over and over again.
Then came the election...
We waited.
We worried.
And after hours and hours of intensely waiting, we finally found out the fate of the United States of America.
Whether you voted for Donald Trump or not, we must rise as a country and stand together. Our America is currently more divided than it has been in decades. We the people must stand up for what we believe in. We must be the force that makes America great again.
