From making inside jokes and memories to talking about nothing for hours, every moment spent with an older brother is a great one. For everyone who can relate to this, here are the 15 best things about having an older brother.

1. You always have someone to hang out with.

All you have to do is walk the five steps from your room to his.

2. You basically have your own secret language.

You can have an entire conversation through facial expressions.

3. You always have someone to hang out with at family gatherings.

You would be bored out of your mind if it weren't for your older brother.

4. You always get his comfy hand-me-downs.

There's no need to actually buy sweatshirts.

5. He will always give you completely honest feedback about your life decisions.

He'll tell you straight up.

6. You have someone who you can always go to for a good laugh.

You often steal his jokes.

7. The years spent play-fighting taught you how to be strong.

He taught you to never give up. Also, how to get out of a headlock.

8. You always have someone looking out for you.

Older brothers can activate into bodyguard mode within seconds.

9. You always have someone to share your favorite memories with.

Considering he was there for all of them.

You probably will never grasp the rules of football, but he does his best to help.
