With the holiday’s being around the corner, it is only normal to talk about the most underrated holiday there is; Thanksgiving. The Christmas hype is already happening, and it is extremely common for people to forget about the wonderful holiday that comes before it. Where ever you go, there is constant reminders that Christmas is coming; in the malls, on TV, or even in school. With the Christmas season being shoved down our throats every day, it becomes easy for everyone to forget about Thanksgiving. In my opinion, Thanksgiving is the best holiday.
1. Family
Thanksgiving is a time where family comes together. This day is to celebrate what you’re thankful for. Family that you probably haven’t seen since last year, comes together to pretty much get drunk off of wine, and shove food down their throats. How can anybody be sad on a day like that?
2. Food
Food is by far the best part of Thanksgiving. There is constant selections of endless turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. That’s not the end of it though. There is apple, pumpkin, blueberry, pecan, and chocolate pie. This is a day where you can eat whatever you want, and how much you want without feeling guilty or being judged.
3. Food Coma
Of course after you eat, there is the following three hours of a food coma that you fall into, which is the best nap of the year. Every year I look forward to this nap. You get to pass out, full of delicious food, and wake up ready for more!
4. Being Thankful
Every day of the year you should be thankful for those whom surround you, but Thanksgiving is a day that really brings those feelings to light. It is a day to realize how grateful you really are. You’re surrounded by loved ones, and it is a time to be happy, and stress-free.
