Men—you can’t live with them, and you can’t live without out them. Well, I know for a fact that I would be lost without my guy BFFs. They’ve been there for me from the beginning of time, and I know that they will probably be my “bridesmen” at my future wedding one day. From the shopping trips to all the girl drama I make them listen to, they've managed to put up with me somehow. So, here’s a few thank you’s to the best guys (in my eyes) on this planet.
1. Thanks for driving me places.
You know that I have no sense of direction whatsoever. So,
really, we are both better off when you drive.
2. Thanks for making me an honorary member of your family.
Your family is my favorite family besides my own. I love how I can come visit them, even when you are not at home.
3. Thanks for being my friend before we hit puberty.
We weren't always the graceful, beautiful swans that we are today.
4. Thanks for making our friendship last after graduation.
My friendship with you is something I never have the fear oflosing because of how close we are. You are the one person I’ve been able to count on over the years, from elementary school to high school.
5. Thanks for making weekend road-trips to come visit me.
Even though we chose colleges a few hours away from each
other, you’ve always found time to come and spend the weekend with me.
6. Thanks for never missing a special event in my life.
From my 18th birthday surprise party to the night I got homecoming queen, you were there. I don’t know what it’s like for something great to happen without celebrating it with you.
7. Thank you for your humor.
Even if I’m having a bad day, you always manage to put a
smile on my face, someway, somehow.
8. Thanks for taking endless pictures of me whenever we go somewhere.
You've heard the phrase, "Wait, can you just take one more?" "I don’t look pretty in that one," way too many times.
9. Thanks for taking me to prom.
Prom is stressful enough as it is, so I’m glad you were there to keep me calm through everything.
10. Thank you for accepting me for who I am (crazy personality and all).
You've never tried to change me or stopped being my friend for the last 12 years, and you will never know how much I appreciate that.
I know that I owe you WAY more thank you's than the 10 I listed, but I hope these will do for now. You've made such a wonderful impact on my life. I hope that you know that I will always love you no matter where we end up in life. And, I will continue to aggravate you, take your food, and make you drive me places, no matter how old we are. Not many people have great, lifelong guy best friends, but I'm one of the lucky ones because I have you.
