A Thank You to Those Who Have My Back
Mara Boboruzian

First of all I just want to say thank you. I know I may not be the easiest person to deal with and the fact that you put up with all my craziness and worries about everything under the sun.

I want you to know that you mean the absolute world to me and I could not be more grateful for having you in my life.

Life is crazy with its many ups and downs and without a strong support system, one can feel very overwhelmed. I am very fortunate to have the support system that I do have.

You are my rock. You keep me as sane as possible. You lift me up when I am down. You ground me when my head is just a little too high in the clouds. You love me even when I am in the worst moods and you haven’t given up on me and that is huge.

I have a very hard time trusting people and once I start to become close to someone I worry whether or not they will stay. There has been a history where my friends just leave and it haunts me every time I meet someone new. So if I have opened up to you, you better know that you are pretty damn special because that is not a usual occurrence.

I know I am not the easiest to deal with when I am upset. I can be very stubborn and pessimistic and there are times I just shut down and try to shut you out, but you never let me get that far. You always try to get me to see the light in the situation and to move on. You tell me not to dwell because it will only make things worse. The many countless nights filled with talk and tears, the emotional gift-givings, and the hugs that mean the most make me very thankful for you.

So this is my thank you to you. Thank you for being there for me no matter what I say. Thank you for accepting who I am, how I feel, and who I want to be. I could not have gotten this far without you and I hope that you continue to be in my life. Thank you for being there during my happy times as well as all of my sad times. Thank you for being there even when you, yourself, have stuff going on. Thank you for making me feel loved and wanted. That is the best feeling on the worst days.

I could never thank you enough for being my friends and having my back. I can only hope to return what you have given to me. I hope we continue to stay in each other’s lives for a very long time and I cannot wait for the many more memories we have yet to make!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
