Thank you for making life abundantly joyful.

A Thank You To The People Who Are Always There
Katie Pyle

When we take a moment to think about our lives, there are a few people we automatically envision as 'our people'. These are the people who walked into your life whether it was years ago or within the past year who make us the happiest versions of ourselves. They're the people that support us and the people we want to be there to support most.

There are certain relationships in our lives that just work, they fit perfectly. The older we get the more we understand ourselves and with this, we can better understand the kind of friendships and relationships we want to have. We can be confident in the kind of friend we are and the kind of friendships we deserve and desire to keep us thriving and growing and vice versa. We reach certain milestones and facing them with certain people may either give us the opportunity to grow together or grow apart. This doesn't have to be a negative happening, it's just an honest realization.

No matter what we faced in our lives and who is still along for the journey with us, we can't forget about the people who were once there for us. Whether they're still present or you grew apart, that point in our lives deserves commemoration along with the people who were there through these times. More importantly, we need to look at the people who have stuck by our sides from the very start of the relationship. The people who were there to pick us up every time we fell, who were there for the celebrations, who were there for the times we didn't even know we wanted someone there but needed them. Those people are special to have in life. They're the type of relationships we have to hold onto and realize how lucky we truly are to have them.

The people we have throughout our lives deserve a thank you, not because they're asking for it but because when we step back and realize how blessed we are to have relationships such as these we can't help but to be abundantly thankful. People may come and go but there are certain people we know will always be there no matter how close we are or how often we see them.

Stick with the people who help you to grow, the people you want to see succeed just as much as they want to see you succeed. Friendships and relationships should bring you happiness, not struggle. With a great support system and a happy group around you, it's impossible not to be thankful for them. With age our friendships grow and become more appreciated than ever before, let them know just how much they mean to you.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
